OOAK Fantasy Necklace from Vintage Silver Baby Rattle and Assorted Beads

This one-of-a-kind fantasy necklace began with an early 1900s English silver baby rattle shaped like a chubby elephant that jingles when moved. The necklace is crafted from vintage elements including mother of pearl, faceted yellow quartz, jade, African trade beads, carnelian, cinnabar, and mosaic accents—all wire-wrapped in silver-plated wire. The circular rattle holder is made of bone or resin, with two bead pendants balancing the central elephant figure. Adjustable in length, the design allows the elephant to pass through the ring, forming the necklace without a clasp. A rare, whimsical piece that merges antique charm with imaginative artistry.
